The upcoming German edition of our popular Deep Purple title Wait For The Ricochet (see below) can be pre-ordered direct from the publisher’s on their site.  Doing this helps everybody concerned from the writers to the distributors and helps stop Am*zon’s plan for world domination. Meisterwerk

We are pleased to announce that there will be a German language edition of our Deep Purple book Wait For The Ricochet available later in the year. This will be released by Hannibal Books in Germany in October 2018. The translation has been undertaken by Andreas Schiffmann, who has worked on other music titles in the past and is a big fan of Deep Purple’s music.

The book will be as close to the English language edition as possible, both in layout illustrations and content, but some small changes will be made to incorporate the translated text which takes up more room.

We will show spreads from the edition here soon, in the meantime the amended cover is attached.

The book will be available through the usual German outlets and we hope to be able to stock this edition through our online shop direct nearer the time. In the meantime the English second edition is still available and more details are on the site.

We all came down to Montreux

Deep Purple Smoke On The WaterThe second of our Deep Purple titles has been scheduled, and takes a detailed look at one of the most influential and best – selling rock albums of all time, Machine Head. DEEP PURPLE – FIRE IN THE SKY follows a similar format to our previous book on the group, and includes the story of SMOKE ON THE WATER, often voted the most famous rock riff of all time. You can read more about the book and see the cover on the site, and more details will follow. Publication is scheduled for early 2015. Our previous book on the band’s formation in 1969 has been remarkably well reviewed across the world, and you can read some of those reviews on the site.  This follow-up aims to reach the same high standard.

More great reviews for Wait For The Ricochet have been turning up, with Record Collectors, Fireworks, The Beat and even Classic Rock being very complementary. We’ve posted the reviews on the site. More to follow!
